ABOUT TRUE FORGINGS
Oct. 2, 2007 - Forged Frauds
True forgings are double-forged with a 50 ton air hammer and then hand ground and hand polished to exact specifications. The result is that all voids (air pockets) and any imperfections in the metal are eliminated, and the molecular structure is so tightly compressed that you get a consistent shot on every hit. The feel of forged is as soft as butter, the workability exceptional. It is these characteristics of consistency, feel and workability that are sought by better players and touring professionals.
Because avid players tend to play with forged irons, often in a blade style, many people incorrectly believe that forgings are difficult to play and are not designed for the mid to high handicappers. That is not true. The manufacturing process affects the metal characteristics, whereas the style and design of the iron head affects the playability of the club.
And, please don’t be fooled. Many manufacturers mark their clubs “forged” when in fact they are cast and then slightly squeezed under moderately high temperatures. These "fake-forged" clubs are sold under numerous names: “form forged”, “precision forged”, “coin forged”, and sometimes flat out mis-represented as “forged”. We’re amazed at how many people are fooled, even PGA Tour players. After these players hit a true forged iron, they are amazed at the difference in feel, consistency and workability.

Jennah's stellar play throughout the year qualified her for the State Championships!
Ms. Romansky plays with a bag loaded with KZG Custom golf clubs. Among them are a "PTI" driver, CH-III fairway woods, U/I Utility clubs and OC-II irons.

Tiana Jones, 18, shot a final round 69, turning in the only round in the 60s of the entire tournament en route to an amazing twelve-stroke victory. The victory earned Jones a spot as one of 41 girls nationally to participate in the 35th Junior PGA Championship. As a senior in high school this year Tiana became the first female in her county to win the Ohio Girls Division I golf state championship, she earned All-County honors and was named the Player of the Year in her division. During this amazing senior season, Tiana has been playing KZG Forged Zero Offset Blades.
Tiana was custom-fit by Dave Freed from DV Golf in Akron, OH. Dave is a three-time recipient of KZG’s Top 100 Club-Fitter Award and was recently named the #1 Golf Store in the Akron/Canton area for 2010 as well as the top sporting goods store in Akron by FOX News. Dave has known Tiana and made clubs for her family since she was a child. She won her first championship when she was seven years old and at seventeen Dave has seen her win over a hundred trophies. He is the only fitter she has ever known and allows her to focus on her stroke rather than her equipment.

As CVCA's leading player, she finished 22nd in a field of 72 District II champion golfers playing in the OHSAA, Division II Girl's Golf Championship tournament in Columbus, OH.
The Championship was played on October 14th and 15th at the Gray Course of Ohio State University. The competition was played in chilly, overcast conditions that included wind gusts to 37 mph.
